When a medical crisis strikes planning what to do first is the most important step to moving on with your life. Let us help you get the care you need. We will worry about the cost.

Getting the care you need is the first move

Figuring out how you are going to pay for it should not be the first thing you have to consider.

We Will Help

Get Started

Our first goal is to determine a persons medical eligibility with the help of a treating physician. which we may provide. To receive assistance, the person must be diagnosed with a medical condition that he or she cannot possibly pay for considering there current financial condition or future prospects.

We rely on medical professionals, parents and family members for referrals. The person in question must be unable to pay or have any medical insurance in place and have already applied for Medicaid or Medicare and been denied.

If you have not taken these steps then we can assist you in getting them taken.

If you have a life threatening illness then we can expedite the process.

A strong foundation of primary care is critical to successfully treating specific diseases, such as AIDS or Cancer. People seek care because they feel sick, not because they have a particular disease. Quality primary health care is always accessible and seldom affordable by the poor or impoverished, we can no longer afford to let them just suffer or let the government or insurance companies foot the bill which results in increased costs in premiums and Medicaid or Medicare. Therefore S.O.F.T. tries to provide medical payments for those who need but cannot afford such services.

The imposition of user fees has resulted in empty clinics and schools, especially in settings where the burden of poverty and disease are greatest. Because both health and education are fundamental routes to development, it is counterproductive (not to mention immoral) to charge user fees for health care and education to those who need these services most and can afford them least. S.O.F.T. works to ensure that cost does not prevent access to primary health care and education for the poor. If you need help in this area then please Follow This Link

Addressing Social And Economic Needs

Fighting disease in impoverished settings also means fighting the poverty at the root of poor health. Achieving good health outcomes requires attending to peoples' social and economic needs. Through community partners, PIH works to improve access to food, shelter, clean water, sanitation, education, and economic opportunities. It is hard to imagine that these poor conditions exist in the most affluent country on earth but they do and it is our responsibility to correct these issues

Service

Our service starts with medical care. But it doesn't end there. When we listen to our patients, we hear not only about symptoms that can be treated with medicines but about conditions of crippling poverty in which disease spreads and kills. Our service must be as comprehensive as our patients' needs. People turn to us because they are in need and know they will not be turned away because of their inability to pay.
